World Association for Young Psychiatrists and Trainees
A trainee is defined as a medical doctor, qualified according
to national requirements for a psychiatry trainee in his/her country,
and who is currently engaged in a nationally recognized psychiatry
training - postgraduate program or research leading to accreditation
as a medical specialist in psychiatry.
A young psychiatrist is defined as a medical doctor specialized in
psychiatry, qualified according to national requirements and within the
irst five years of completion of a psychiatry postgraduate program,
specialist and practicing Psychiatry.
Honorary Member is defined as medical doctor specialized in
Psychiatry and/or other person with relevance to psychiatry, and
do not fit definition for trainee or young psychiatrist, and is willing
and able to contribute to WAYPT in meaningful ways. Honorary
member needs to be approved by Board and do not have voting rights.
